The Terminator Avatar
1. When someone comes up with a great idea and talks about it for a while, but no action is taken.
2. The Terminator was a film about a cyborg that went back in time to kill John Conner. This was because he was the one who would lead the revolution against the rise of the machines. The Terminator Avatar is the person who shares many ideas and dreams, but when it is time to take action, they say “I’ll be back.”
3. The excitement of coming up with a new idea can provide the exact thrill that someone may need to get through their day. This daydreaming comes from the right brain and releases dopamine through the nervous system. This gives off a “high” feeling that makes the daydreamer feel like they have already experienced the dream, so when it comes time to actually do it, they feel no actual need to take action.
4. Pipe dreaming and coming up with ideas but becoming frustrated and overwhelmed at the tedious details to accomplish a certain task. The left brain literally freezes up or becomes over heated, causing the avatar to shut down and self terminate the dream. Procrastination and excuse making. GodSpeedScience™
